Conference Location

The conference will take place on the University of Minnesota campus (West Bank) in the Humphrey School Conference Center on West Bank, Ted Mann and nearby classrooms. The associated summer school will be on the East bank at and near the Graduate by Hilton Minneapolis hotel. 

Airport

The closest airport is Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP).  MSP has flights serving 164 non-stop destinations in 24 countries and 50 U.S states. The airport is about 20 minutes' drive from the conference location.

Accommodation

Student Housing

The LOC has reserved a limited amount of dorm rooms ($350 for the week) for student participants on a first come first served basis to reduce the threshold for student participation. The dorms will be in Centennial Hall.

Click Buy Tickets > Select tab for Rider > Choose the type of Rider >Select tab for Service > Local Bus/METRO > Choose Non-Rush Hour/All-Day > Add to Cart > Confirm Purchase > Activate the ticket > Ride 
For bus, show the activated ticket to the bus driver
For Metro, show the activated ticket if METRO employees ask for the fare

The fare machine is at every metro station. 

• Make your selection using buttons next to the screen. Select a ticket/pass type. If you are purchasing multiple tickets for a large group, select "Purchase additional tickets" by pressing Button J. You may purchase up to 10 tickets/passes of the same type at one time. Note: A separate transaction is required for each type of ticket/pass.
• Insert payment. Machines accept credit cards, coins and $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills. Machines cannot provide more than $19.50 in change, which is given in dollar coins.
• Pick up your ticket/pass(s) and/or change from the tray at the bottom of the machine. Note: tickets/passes are valid from the time of purchase.

Uber& Lyft (24 hours): follow signs for Uber & Lyft to pick up area at the airport

Metro Line Transporation (during the day only, station name=terminal 1 / termina 2)

From airport: Ride blue line Northbound (downtown Minnapolis)

To airport: Ride blue line Southbound (Mall of America)

For those going to West Bank, East Bank and Stadium Village station, transfer at US Bank Stadium station to Green Line Eastbound (Downtown Saint Paul)
