Plasma Chemistry Award 2019 for Prof. Alexander Fridman

The IPCS board of directors is delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2019 Plasma Chemistry Award will be Professor Alexander Fridman of Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA.

Professor Fridman is very well known in our community, having chaired the 20th International Symposium on Plasma Chemistry and several other major conferences, and having published over 1000 papers and 8 books, including ‘Plasma Chemistry’ (first published in 2008). He has worked on a very wide range of topics related to plasma chemistry, including plasma medicine, gas processing and production, plasma–surface interactions and deposition, physics and engineering of gas discharges, and kinetics of non-equilibrium systems.

The award will be presented at the 24th International Symposium on Plasma Chemistry (ISPC 24) to be held in Naples, Italy, 9-14 June 2019 (https://www.ispc24.com/).
